DENIS SANTACHIARA

Denis Santachiara specializes in the art of design through aesthetic processes, mostly inspired by shifts in technology and new methods of creation. His works are animated yet purposeful and are often members of the most important exhibitions in the world including The Venice Biennal, “Documents 8” Kassel, The National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, The Triennial of Milan in 1982, 1984 and 1986, and The Quadrennial of Rome in 1999.

His objects of design are celebrated in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art in New York as well as Musée des Arts Decoratifs in The Louvre, The National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, and The Museums of Lyon, Frankfurt, and Philadelphia. In 1999 he was given The Good Design Award by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and in April of 2000, he was given prizes in two sections of Design World.

Santachiara is a brilliant design professional and sustains his work through important collaborations with international companies such as Snia, Viscosa, Centro Stile Fiat, Progetto Cultura “Montedison”, Ministero della Cultura Francese, Artemide, Swatch, Mandarina Duck, Rosenthal, Panasonic, Domodinamica, BPT, Vitra, Campeggi, Superga, Bang-Olufsen, Banca Generali, De Padova, Foscarini, Marutomy Baleri Italia, Zerodisegno.
